Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic for mainframe systems.
- Monitor architecture and optimize code to preserve and improve mainframe performance.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions in mission-critical applications.
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
- Collaborate with customers and colleagues while supporting modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong coding and development experience with Java, Python, .NET, or comparable languages, plus debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing scalable and robust software using software development methodologies.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of architecture design, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Cloud certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices is preferred.
