Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of native iOS and Android applications.
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor for mobile engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Architect scalable and maintainable mobile solutions integrated with Microsoft Azure services.
- Collaborate with firmware, cloud, and UX teams to deliver cohesive product experiences.
- Own mobile CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and ensure reliable build, test, and release processes.
- Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities, including on-device inference and cloud-based AI services.
- Define mobile architecture patterns and reusable component libraries.
- Publish and maintain applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of focused mobile application development experience.
- Expert proficiency in iOS development with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Strong proficiency in Android development with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Pipelines.
- Strong command of mobile CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Understanding of API design and consumption and real-time communication protocols such as WebSocket and MQTT.
- Experience with Agile development and sprint-based delivery.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Git-based version control and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Copilot, Claude CLI, agentic development, prompt engineering, LLM integration, AI-assisted development, mobile SDKs, Swift Package Manager, Maven, BLE, IoT device communication, HealthKit, HomeKit, mobile security, OAuth 2.0, XCTest, Espresso, Appium, TDD, BDD, and technical lead or architecture roles.
