Responsibilities
- Design real-time and batch data pipelines according to business requirements and service-level objectives.
- Specify data platform components and configurations for pipeline implementation.
- Baseline pipeline performance for scalability and implement metrics for performance and accuracy monitoring.
- Identify, prioritize, and execute pipeline improvements and troubleshoot systemic issues.
- Lead engineering for a standardized data services layer.
- Partner with release automation and QA automation engineering teams on deployment and pipeline validation.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and help facilitate daily stand-ups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a relevant field.
- 8+ years of experience, including team leadership.
- Strong understanding of real-time and batch pipelines, big data, data pipelines, and/or data lakes.
- Analytical problem-solving ability and strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to understand business domains and translate requirements into data platform services.
