Base Salary
$143k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, companywide technology initiatives and strategic modernization and AI initiatives.
- Design and build automation for provisioning, configuration, lifecycle management, deployments, customer journeys, and infrastructure services.
- Develop scalable full-stack applications, microservices, GraphQL and API-driven integrations, and responsive user interfaces.
- Build backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Python, and cloud-native patterns.
- Design and manage MongoDB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or other relational database solutions.
- Establish engineering standards, lead code and architectural reviews, and conduct production readiness assessments.
- Analyze and resolve complex production issues while improving reliability, performance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and integrate AI and Generative AI capabilities responsibly.
- Mentor and coach engineers and collaborate with product owners, architects, security teams, network engineering, and platform teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
- Strong experience building enterprise applications across the full technology stack.
- Hands-on experience with React.js, TypeScript or JavaScript, Python, Java or Spring Boot, GraphQL, APIs, microservices, and databases such as MongoDB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and containerized deployments.
- Experience building scalable, resilient, secure distributed systems and understanding software design patterns, API design, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural decision-making skills.
- Ability to account for AI model limitations, security risks, compliance, privacy, ethics, and operational considerations when using AI-assisted tools.
