Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain rating worksheets, rating engines, modifiers, rating artifacts, rating logic, product model changes, and rating tables within Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Configure, write, package, and deploy GOSU code and Guidewire rating solutions.
- Collaborate with business and actuarial teams to understand rating requirements and implement accurate, maintainable solutions.
- Support integrations involving Earnix, lookup services, and external rating data sources.
- Participate in peer code reviews, rating-focused QA testing, defect resolution, and rating scenario validation.
- Troubleshoot rating logic, product model, and connected rating component issues.
- Support Guidewire Cloud upgrades by validating rating behavior and completing required adjustments.
- Monitor system and rating performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of proven Guidewire development experience, ideally including hands-on PolicyCenter rating experience.
- Expertise in GOSU, Guidewire configuration and coding tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins.
- Guidewire Associate Certification is required.
- Guidewire Rating and PolicyCenter experience, Guidewire Cloud experience, and experience with Earnix rating/pricing models or Guidewire-Earnix integration are required.
- Experience with coding in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, and Python, with the ability to read code in other languages and reverse engineer products.
- Experience designing and developing business database applications and modern web applications, including Web APIs with REST/JSON.
- Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, TeamCity, DataDog, Guidewire Home, Guidewire Messaging, and synchronous/asynchronous integration patterns.
- Knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance and Agile software development.
- Guidewire Ace Certification, Guidewire Integration/Claim Center/Billing Center configuration knowledge, GUnit testing experience, Guidewire Cloud upgrade and Assurance experience, SQL skills, and relational database familiarity are preferred.
