Responsibilities
- Build and maintain security observability, compliance, control-management, and internal security tooling.
- Develop automated security assurance programs covering certifications, applications, builds, cloud, and supply-chain security.
- Create security systems, automations, checks, guardrails, and paved roads for employee workflows and build pipelines.
- Integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle and operational processes.
- Collaborate with security, engineering, customer-facing, audit, and stakeholder teams.
- Respond to customer security issues, security alerts, and potential incidents.
Requirements
- Production development experience with at least one programming language and the ability to discuss algorithms, data structures, optimization, and programming principles in a code screen.
- Experience using and securing containerized, cloud-native applications, ideally with Kubernetes; experience with multiple cloud providers is preferred.
- Experience automating security and compliance processes with tools, scripts, and frameworks while enabling developer and employee workflows.
- Understanding of security frameworks, standards, and certifications such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST, or GDPR.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with peers, stakeholders, auditors, and customers.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Grafana Labs open-source projects, observability tooling, open-source communities, infrastructure compliance automation, or securing large-scale distributed systems in public clouds is advantageous.
