Responsibilities

  • Support system requirements and design activities.
  • Develop software solutions that meet business needs.
  • Contribute to project reviews.
  • Assist with engineering investigations and problem solving.
  • Communicate technical recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Work with experienced engineers on live projects.
  • Combine university study with practical workplace experience across the four-year programme.

Requirements

  • Achieve 104 UCAS points, such as A Level BCC, or an equivalent qualification such as a BTEC Extended Diploma, T Level, or apprenticeship.
  • Have five GCSEs at grades 9–4/A–C, including Maths and English.
  • Applicants who already hold a relevant degree, including Software Engineering or Computer Science, are not eligible.
  • Have the permanent right to work in the UK and successfully complete and maintain BPSS screening and SC security clearance.
  • Typically have lived continuously in the UK for the last five years to qualify for SC clearance.
  • Be a British citizen from birth and hold no other nationality because the role supports a UK Eyes Only programme.
