Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze telemetry, tracking, and command software, including software that interfaces with hardware systems.
- Customize third-party applications and maintain software libraries, documentation, and manuals.
- Provide first-level customer support and communicate technical status to leadership.
- Design and maintain server-side logic using Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL.
- Develop relational schemas, manage database migrations, and support software feature deployments.
- Tune database performance using Oracle AWR/ASH, TKPROF, and PostgreSQL EXPLAIN ANALYZE.
- Support Oracle and PostgreSQL database modernization and migration efforts.
- Optimize application-database integration, including connection pooling and data access layers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field with five years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with three years of experience.
- At least two years of professional software engineering experience.
- Three to five or more years of hands-on database engineering or backend development experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency writing advanced logic in Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL.
- Experience supporting SDLC processes in Agile/Scrum environments and managing database objects via Git.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to maintain access to the government worksite.
- Preferred experience with OpenVMS, Linux, Windows, SQL databases, Ada, C++, Java, schema migration tools, and cloud-hosted databases.
- Preferred scripting experience with Python, Bash, or shell environments.
- Preferred understanding of GoldenGate and PostgreSQL streaming replication.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, teamwork, and customer-interaction skills.
