Base Salary
$91k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Configure, optimize, document, and support infrastructure components for cloud-hosted software products.
- Manage servers and applications, monitoring, incident response and resolution, and operational improvements.
- Develop and enhance shared public cloud services with attention to availability, performance, capacity, security, operations, and user experience.
- Manage security posture and adherence to corporate security best practices.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, service descriptions, build and deployment documentation, and operations runbooks.
- Assist with design and deployment for divisions on a project basis.
- Manage AWS and FedRAMP best-practice expectations in alignment with Trimble Cloud Core Platform standards.
- Collaborate with global teams and occasionally work or perform tasks outside regular hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least two years of IT operations experience, with knowledge of networking, computing, and storage; five years is preferred.
- Experience with AWS public cloud or Government Cloud.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux system administration and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Familiarity with application operations, incident management, change management, CI/CD pipelines, and capacity management.
- Strong written and verbal communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the FedRAMP framework is helpful but less important than solid SRE skills.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform is a bonus.
- Experience with Jira, Git, ArgoCD, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Splunk, New Relic, GitLab CI, Jira Service Management, SAML, Active Directory, LDAP, AWS CLI, boto3, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or AWS RDS is a bonus.
- Must be a verifiable US person on US soil, defined as a citizen or permanent resident in a state or territory.
