Base Salary
$211k - $278k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with strategic startup customers to build novel applications on the OpenAI API and move them from ideation to scale.
- Provide proactive technical guidance to accelerate application development and maximize business impact.
- Experiment and prototype practical generative AI use cases alongside customers.
- Contribute to open-source resources, share knowledge, codify best practices, and publish useful resources.
- Synthesize and deliver customer feedback to Product and Research teams.
- Build relationships across the startup ecosystem and support both individual customers and the broader community.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize work effectively.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, ML engineer, or equivalent.
- Startup experience is preferred, and founder or founding engineer experience is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of AI and LLM best practices.
- Experience building or delivering prototypes on the OpenAI API platform.
- Ability to identify opportunities to maximize customer business value through the OpenAI API.
- Ability to own problems end-to-end, learn needed knowledge independently, and operate effectively across multiple projects.
- Passion for startups and their potential to become large enterprises.
