Base Salary
$182k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, onboard, ramp, and manage the performance of a regional team of Solutions Architects.
- Remain hands-on with customer architecture reviews, deployment escalations, and root-cause analysis involving Kubernetes, networking, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
- Own regional account coverage, on-call responsibilities, escalation paths, and response expectations across time zones.
- Partner with Sales Engineering, Field Engineering, and Support on pre-sales technical validation, deployment planning, and post-sales adoption.
- Convert recurring customer issues into reference architectures, Terraform and Helm assets, runbooks, automation, and enablement content.
- Deliver and coach technical workshops, demonstrations, and customer enablement sessions.
- Provide technical escalation leadership for customer infrastructure failures and advise regional Sales and Field Engineering leadership on technical deal outcomes.
- Provide structured field feedback to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and deployment-tooling priorities.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing a customer-facing technical team with direct hiring and performance-management responsibility; 5+ years is required for Senior Manager.
- 7+ years of hands-on infrastructure, platform, or SRE experience; 10+ years is required for Senior Manager.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve production infrastructure issues in customer-owned environments.
- Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, networking fundamentals, and cloud-managed services such as MySQL and object stores.
- Production experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Proficiency with at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure; knowledge of multiple cloud platforms is preferred.
- Strong Linux/Unix command-line experience and working proficiency in Python.
- Familiarity with ML workflows or tooling and experience supporting both multi-tenant SaaS and customer-managed or on-premises deployments.
- Experience delivering technical workshops, demos, or enablement sessions to customer engineering teams.
- Preferred qualifications include Kubernetes Operators and CRDs, regional technical-team building, Ray, Kubeflow, Slurm, Airflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, GPU infrastructure, distributed training, SaaS or distributed-systems operations at scale, and air-gapped, sovereign, or regulated-industry deployments.
