Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Developer Experience
AlphaSenseResponsibilities
- Own and evolve the CI/CD architecture and developer-facing experience.
- Improve pipeline reliability, speed, and predictability.
- Define paved paths that enable product teams to ship quickly and safely without deep platform knowledge.
- Own the delivery process end-to-end from code merge through production.
- Champion canary deployments and automated rollbacks.
- Build observable, repeatable, and self-service deployment tooling.
- Own and evolve the Internal Developer Portal and its surrounding self-service experience.
- Partner with Cloud Platform teams on infrastructure while owning the developer-facing delivery experience.
- Embed AI tooling into delivery workflows to create lasting productivity gains.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience roles focused on CI/CD and delivery, ideally in organizations with more than 200 engineers.
- Experience owning and operating CI/CD platforms at the administration and architecture level, including security, configuration, and enablement.
- Proven ability to design and operate delivery systems at scale.
- Hands-on production-quality software development experience in Go.
- Experience or passion for progressive delivery practices, including canary deployments and automated rollbacks.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Interest in using AI to improve engineering velocity, quality, and developer experience.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence across teams.
- Experience building or maintaining an Internal Developer Portal is a nice-to-have.
- Experience working in both Software Engineering and Platform Engineering teams is a nice-to-have.
- Interest in Security and understanding of RBAC and OAuth are nice-to-haves.
