Responsibilities
- Investigate novel techniques combining advanced heuristics with optimization.
- Translate real-world supply chain management use cases into mathematical models.
- Lead the design and implementation of mathematical models.
- Define test strategies and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Write unit, integration, and debugging tests to ensure robust software.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, regression, and performance test scripts.
- Collaborate with agile team members and other stakeholders.
- Help shape Kinaxis’s future direction as it enters new markets.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate the software development lifecycle through AI and other tooling while maintaining architectural consistency, secure design, and code-quality standards.
- Review AI-generated code for correctness, architectural fit, integration risk, and edge-case support.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of software development experience and a record of delivering commercial software.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, particularly C++, C#, or Python, with willingness to work across language boundaries.
- Working knowledge of C++, object-oriented design, design patterns, and unit testing.
- Strong interest in data structures and algorithms and their real-world application.
- Experience creating mathematical models for real-world optimization problems.
- Experience with commercial solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress, or CPLEX.
- Ability to develop automated testing for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Ability to apply AI or other tooling to accelerate software development while maintaining architecture, security, and code quality.
- Ability to rigorously review AI-generated code for correctness, architectural fit, integration risk, and edge-case support.
- Knowledge of machine learning models and algorithms is preferred.
