Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize platform services for Coupang Pay business systems.
- Operate infrastructure and platforms capable of reliably handling large-scale payment traffic.
- Design and implement high-availability and disaster-recovery architectures.
- Improve internal CI/CD and DevOps platforms and establish engineering operating principles.
- Build and operate platforms that meet financial security and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Coupang technology teams to improve fintech-focused operations and systems.
Requirements
- At least seven years of backend system design and development experience in Unix/Linux environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
- Experience developing in container and cloud environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin.
- Experience using Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus for monitoring, incident response, and large-scale system operations.
- Experience designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred: experience resolving organizational and system complexity, working in fintech or financial services, and understanding financial IT regulations and compliance.
- Preferred: experience building and operating API gateways and service meshes, and applying distributed systems, microservices architectures, and asynchronous messaging systems.
- Preferred: understanding of Agile software development culture and collaborative work experience.
