Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical strategy and architecture across complex ecosystems.
- Lead client-facing strategy, discovery, solution design, estimation, pitches, and technology transformation programmes.
- Identify and shape AI-driven products, services, use cases, propositions, and engagement models.
- Lead the integration of generative AI, LLMs, and agent-based systems into end-to-end solutions.
- Oversee architecture, integrations, data flows, scalability, security, performance, and technical quality across multiple programmes.
- Establish engineering standards and best practices, including modern development practices and DevOps.
- Partner with data teams on data architecture, personalisation, and real-time decisioning systems.
- Lead and mentor senior engineers and technical leaders while building distributed engineering capability.
- Contribute to AKQA’s technical roadmap, thought leadership, and regional technology leadership.
- Influence senior stakeholders across business, technology, design, data, and experience functions.
Requirements
- Deep technical credibility across platform engineering, distributed systems, and modern web and application stacks.
- Experience defining technical strategy and architecture for complex enterprise environments.
- Strong fluency in AI, generative AI, LLMs, agent-based systems, and emerging technologies.
- Experience translating business ambition and customer experience goals into technology strategies and scalable solutions.
- Experience leading senior client conversations and influencing C-level stakeholders.
- Experience shaping commercial solutions, new opportunities, revenue growth, and long-term client value.
- Experience developing senior technical talent and building engineering capability.
- Strong understanding of customer journeys, digital ecosystems, experience design principles, governance, and decision-making dynamics.
- Ability to bridge strategy, design, data, and technology into cohesive solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, strategic thinking, coaching, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
