Base Salary
$232k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution and architecture of the Armada Edge Platform for compute and AI workload orchestration across globally distributed, high-latency, and disconnected environments.
- Drive architectural roadmaps for next-generation initiatives such as orbital compute modules and data centers in space.
- Co-design solutions with strategic industry partners and deepen integration of Armada’s technology into their ecosystems.
- Define the three-to-five-year technical roadmap with company leadership, including high-density GPU orchestration and orbital data processing.
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex architectural challenges involving real-time data streaming, computer vision, and network-aware workload distribution.
- Lead proof-of-concepts for in-orbit inference, adaptive learning at the edge, and secure Earth-to-space data orchestration.
- Mentor Staff and Principal engineers and promote architectural rigor across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience and a proven track record as a Distinguished Engineer, Fellow, or equivalent senior technical leader at a major infrastructure or AI company.
- Deep understanding of data center operations, CPU/GPU/NPU compute architectures, and AI infrastructure at scale from silicon through orchestration.
- Expert-level knowledge of distributed systems and data storage in resource-constrained, remote, or denied environments.
- Mastery of Go, C++, or Rust and a deep understanding of software interaction with physical compute hardware and non-terrestrial networking layers.
- Proven ability to collaborate across company lines with partners to develop technical solutions that drive adoption and industry standards.
- Preferred: deep understanding of networking stacks optimized for satellite and terrestrial mesh networks.
- Preferred: interest or experience in orbital mechanics, radiation-tolerant software design, or space-based communication protocols.
- Preferred: experience building Day 2 operations for fleets of thousands of remote distributed devices in harsh environments.
