Base Salary

$200k - $272k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain an internal platform supporting development workflows from code inception through deployment.
  • Create developer tools and automation that streamline CI/CD processes and improve consistency across environments.
  • Implement monitoring and analytics tools for application performance and development pipeline efficiency.
  • Partner with Infrastructure and Data teams to improve developer tooling and data access.
  • Design architecture diagrams and develop scalable web applications, APIs, tools, services, and automation.
  • Evaluate and improve the performance, durability, and security of production applications.
  • Contribute to server-side code and database architecture using Node.js and NestJS, as well as client-side code using React.
  • Mentor and coach team members, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers to translate product requirements into technical specifications.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience delivering complex solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience with Node.js and React; familiarity with NestJS and/or Next.js is a plus.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Temporal, Terraform, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, JavaScript, ES6, TypeORM, MySQL, Git, Jest, Redis, and REST principles.
  • Experience hosting and building applications in AWS.
  • Strong object-oriented programming, algorithms, and web services knowledge.
  • Previous experience leading engineering teams and delivering successful projects.
  • Ability to work independently, own complete features or products from inception through delivery, and navigate difficult tradeoffs.
  • Agile development experience; startup or scaling-company experience is preferred.
