
Senior Staff AI Engineer

Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise full-stack and AI platform architecture across multiple company initiatives.
- Identify and deliver reusable AI components for forward-deployed engineers.
- Design and ship resilient APIs and microservices.
- Build RAG, multimodal LLM, and agentic workflow features for autonomous tasks.
- Own technical decisions involving reliability, performance, and cloud cost.
- Set standards for AI-assisted development and establish prompt and model-performance testing.
- Implement observability for AI features.
- Lead technical reviews and integrations while mentoring engineers and guiding contractors and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of experience with a general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java, or Go, plus front-end experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Track record of shipping production applications incorporating LLMs or AI services at scale.
- Experience leading technical teams and providing guidance to external contractors or vendors.
- Strong experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and advanced Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
- Experience with technical oversight, code review processes, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Preferred: 13+ years of AI/ML experience including architectural design, technical leadership, and system optimization.
- Preferred: experience with React, Vue, or Angular; advanced state management; vector databases; embedding model optimization; multiple LLM providers; LangChain or LlamaIndex; enterprise RAG; semantic search; conversation memory; and AI features serving 100,000+ users.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and complete a drug screen when applicable.
