Responsibilities
- Build new products inside the company.
- Develop, ship, and maintain Rust code while working with existing Go and Ruby code.
- Develop high-performance asynchronous applications with Rust, preferably using Tokio.
- Create proofs of concept in new areas and drive them to production or discontinue them.
- Collaborate remotely with teams distributed across global time zones and travel for business as needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience writing, shipping, and maintaining Rust code.
- Experience with other programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Go, JavaScript, or Java.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multiprocessing, and memory management.
- Experience developing high-performance asynchronous Rust applications, preferably with Tokio.
- Understanding of network protocols and network stacks.
- Understanding of classic database and modern NoSQL technologies.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Understanding of the Linux environment.
- Golang or Ruby knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with WebAssembly is a plus.
- Open-source contributions are a plus.
- Spoken English sufficient for the technical interview and workplace collaboration.
- Ability to work as a results-oriented problem solver, propose solutions, adapt to new technologies, and switch between projects.
