Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded C++ software or computer vision algorithms for automation and autonomy systems.
  • Perform software development, testing, and analysis using C++ and/or Python.
  • Participate in Agile software development, design reviews, and project solution recommendations.
  • Support project-related trips during summer months, expected to take less than 10% of work time.

Requirements

  • Be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university and graduate in December 2027 or later.
  • Be pursuing a degree in electrical/computer engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8.
  • Be available to work 10–20 hours per week during the academic year and 30–40 hours per week during summer.
  • Be at least 18 years old and able to work onsite, including in Urbandale during summer months.
  • Preferred qualifications include completed bachelor's-level study with master's or PhD coursework, extensive Linux development, embedded C++ software, computer vision, and machine learning experience.
