Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product, UX, data, QA, project management, design, and other stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Plan, estimate, forecast, architect, design, implement, test, document, and deliver software solutions.
  • Manage and mentor software engineers and establish effective development practices and processes.
  • Lead the design and delivery of the Plan Intelligence internal analytics platform.
  • Own features end to end across the React/TypeScript frontend and Python FastAPI backend backed by PostgreSQL on AWS.
  • Partner with data engineering on pipelines and data contracts for plan, geospatial, and margin data.
  • Build interactive mapping, charting, and export experiences over large plan and community datasets.
  • Extend LLM-assisted features using AWS Bedrock while managing quality, latency, and cost.
  • Support development, UAT, and production environments through monitoring, product analytics, debugging, and issue resolution.
  • Write high-quality reusable code, automated unit and integration tests, and technical documentation; participate in code reviews and collaborative programming.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science with 5+ years of experience working with web technology stacks and web standards, or a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or an equivalent degree with 7+ years of such experience.
  • Proven experience managing a team of developers, architecting and scaling complex technical solutions, and leading in Agile environments.
  • Strong JavaScript expertise, including advanced client-side and server-side development principles.
  • At least 5 years of React.js experience building performant UI components with modern hooks and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, semantic HTML, modern CSS, CSS-in-JS, accessibility, responsive design, Vite, server-side rendering, client-side routing, and server-state libraries such as TanStack Query.
  • Proficiency in Python with a production web framework such as FastAPI and strong SQL skills with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating containerized AWS services using Docker and infrastructure as code, including ECS, S3, and IAM.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, package managers, debugging, troubleshooting, and automated unit and integration testing.
  • Experience integrating enterprise single sign-on with OIDC and Microsoft Entra ID and securely handling server-side sessions and tokens.
  • Preferred experience includes data analytics and reporting interfaces, geospatial data and interactive mapping, generative AI and LLM integrations, data pipelines and streaming, data lake formats, A/B testing, product analytics, backend development, cloud platforms, third-party integrations, and homebuilding, real estate, or construction data.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and continuous-learning skills.
