Base Salary
$100k - $167k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze, evaluate, and integrate solutions to complex technical problems within customer specifications, quality standards, schedules, and funding limits.
- Formulate software engineering project requirements, document product requirements, and prepare technical data packages.
- Develop detailed implementation plans, determine project timelines, and report project status to engineering leadership.
- Design, implement, test, and deploy software projects.
- Coordinate software integration with project management, hardware engineering, communications engineering, configuration management, quality assurance, and operations support.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, direction, and assistance to other engineering team members.
- Review system software modifications for compatibility with existing hardware and software.
- Facilitate required meetings and perform related duties.
- Deploy and troubleshoot network applications and systems and perform system administration activities across supported operating systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent scientific or technical discipline, or a combination of formal education and experience equivalent to a four-year college degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience as a software developer.
- At least seven years of computer programming experience using C, C++, and C#.
- Experience designing Windows and Linux applications and graphical user interfaces.
- Experience with web applications and services toolsets, including Vue.js, React, Java, JavaScript, XML, and ASP.
- Experience with database development using SQL Server, Oracle, or Access.
- Ability to program in C, C++, and C#; Ada, FORTRAN, and Assembly Language experience is a plus.
- Ability to deploy and troubleshoot network applications and systems and administer Windows, Solaris, Unix, and Linux environments.
- Understanding of network switches and routers, software development standards and processes, and the Software Capability Maturity Model.
- Ability to analyze data, resolve problems, make independent decisions, communicate effectively, prepare technical and user-oriented documentation, and maintain effective work relationships.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and obtain a U.S. government Secret security clearance with Top Secret eligibility.
- Ability to travel as required.
