Responsibilities
- Enable AI application development on Windows on Snapdragon through the Snapdragon software stack.
- Drive adoption of Windows AI platforms by reducing developer barriers and resolving complex customer issues.
- Develop high-performance AI solutions and reference workflows for third-party Windows application developers.
- Analyze machine learning, generative AI, and large language model trends through developer engagements and academic research.
- Benchmark AI tools, workflows, and state-of-the-art models across competing platforms.
- Improve AI model performance, efficiency, and accuracy on Windows on Snapdragon.
- Develop optimization methodologies for Snapdragon CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of AI/ML application development experience.
- Hands-on experience optimizing AI models for performance, power, and accuracy on CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs.
- Experience architecting, designing, and implementing software frameworks for complex heterogeneous or multiprocessor systems.
- Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX Runtime, and MLIR.
- Strong understanding of CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, and ensemble methods.
- Experience with transformer-based models such as BERT, GPT, T5, and Llama.
- Experience building, optimizing, or deploying LLMs or foundation models is preferred.
- Experience building AI and LLM-powered Windows applications with CPU, GPU, and NPU acceleration.
- Experience with embedding models, sentence transformers, retrieval pipelines, and production AI workflows is preferred.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with processor-specific optimization tools, libraries, and profiling technologies is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, adaptability, and ability to learn quickly.
