Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support automated test-equipment software applications using Visual C++, C#, and LabVIEW.
- Review test specifications and verify that equipment produces accurate validation results.
- Collaborate with product and validation engineers to design test equipment for new products.
- Use CAN analysis tools, script generation, automotive measurement and calibration tools, and electronic test instrumentation.
- Support equipment startup and troubleshooting during testing.
- Participate in product design reviews and internal technical meetings.
- Provide training and support to laboratory technicians.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical procedures, and test specifications.
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Supervise others when required by area or department management.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- High skill level with Visual C++, C#, and LabVIEW programming languages.
- 7+ years of relevant test-equipment design experience preferred.
- Experience with electronics, test and measurement instrumentation, electronic modules, RF automotive products, and high-power devices preferred.
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, current probes, and function generators.
- Familiarity with CAN, CANFD, LIN, SENT, Ethernet, UDS, GMLAN, FNOS, J1939, and IEEE15765 protocols.
- Knowledge of CAN analysis tools, script generation, automotive measurement and calibration tools, emulation calibration data memory, and ASAP display table measurements.
- Ability to understand customer specifications and validation plans.
- Ability to participate effectively in technical discussions and communicate in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and personalities.
