Responsibilities
- Assist the Principal SRE with architecture, development, and SRE initiatives.
- Implement SRE principles, Service Level Objectives, observability solutions, and SRE roadmap items with engineering and product teams.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance application performance and customer satisfaction.
- Implement and integrate incident management tooling with the Service Management team.
- Own problem resolution and ensure fixes are implemented promptly.
- Support a global shift and on-call model providing 24-hour, five-day coverage.
- Promote emerging SRE trends and technologies across engineering and business functions.
- Coach and mentor high-performing teams and drive innovation, automation, simplicity, and data-focused improvements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of total experience, including at least 2 years in Site Reliability Engineering or production management.
- Strong understanding and extensive practical experience implementing SRE principles and practices.
- Experience with observability stacks such as ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, Splunk, Datadog, or other scalable solutions.
- Expertise creating SLO dashboards using multiple data sources.
- Strong experience with cloud-native working practices and large-scale, complex technology platforms.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies across databases, serverless systems, containerization, and APIs.
- Advanced Terraform expertise and experience with one or more CI/CD solutions.
- Experience coaching and mentoring high-performing teams in global or multinational environments.
- Experience integrating incident management tools such as Rootly, Blameless, ServiceNow, or incident.io.
- Strong knowledge of Python, GitHub Actions, Apigee, and Airflow.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong documentation, communication, collaboration, knowledge-management, and continuous-improvement skills.
