Base Salary
$240k - $285k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify and drive the highest-impact technical problems across Travel & Expense, including gaps between teams, to resolution.
- Set and raise the technical bar through design reviews, architecture decisions, and hands-on engineering work.
- Partner with Staff Engineers and engineering managers across expenses, travel, policy, and spend controls to align direction and unblock execution.
- Mentor senior engineers, improve how teams design and ship, and develop future technical leaders.
- Apply an AI-forward mindset to how the organization builds, reviews, and operates.
- Contribute to technical strategy and inform leadership investment priorities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership across multiple teams or a group.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve ambiguous, cross-cutting problems without a defined charter.
- Deep experience designing and operating large-scale backend systems in production.
- Strong collaboration skills and a record of raising the bar for engineers while working effectively with individual contributors and managers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
