Base Salary
$177k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a vision for the evolution of Pinterest’s machine learning technology stack within Ads.
- Build deep learning and machine learning technology to personalize Pinterest.
- Partner with teams across Pinterest to experiment with and improve machine learning models for Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, and Search.
- Use data-driven methods to improve candidate retrieval using Pinterest’s unique data.
- Work in a high-impact environment focused on rapid experimentation and product launches.
- Monitor industry trends in recommendation systems.
- Leverage large language models to enhance content understanding.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of industry experience applying machine learning methods such as user modeling, personalization, recommender systems, search, ranking, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, or graph representation learning.
- Degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field.
- End-to-end hands-on experience building data processing pipelines, large-scale machine learning systems, and big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
- Practical knowledge of large-scale recommender systems, modern ads ranking, retrieval, targeting, or marketplace systems.
- A master's degree or PhD in machine learning or a related area is preferred.
- Publications at top machine learning conferences are preferred.
- Expertise in scalable real-time systems that process stream data is preferred.
- A background in computational advertising is preferred.
