Responsibilities

  • Develop and test AI-supported engineering methods and tools for areas such as PCB design.
  • Apply and integrate GenAI and LLMs to solve technical problems in electronics, power electronics, and system development.
  • Automate engineering workflows by developing prototype software solutions and intelligent assistant systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-product teams within the Volkswagen Group.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s program with more than 89 credit points or a Master’s program in electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science, mechatronics, embedded systems, or a comparable field.
  • Have good to very good academic performance.
  • Have good programming skills, preferably in Python or a comparable programming language, plus experience with GenAI, LLMs, and AI-supported engineering workflows.
  • Knowledge of simulation and engineering tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, or PCB development environments is preferred.
  • Have German and English language skills at B2 level.
  • Submit a CV, current enrollment certificate unless in a gap year, current transcript, and— for a mandatory internship—confirmation from the university.
