Responsibilities
- Build experience prototypes using novel display technologies.
- Develop deep learning, computer vision, computer graphics, and related algorithms.
- Program SDKs for hardware interfaces and prototype novel hardware setups.
- Develop applications using Swift and Xcode where applicable.
- Design and conduct experiments related to human perception.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence the future direction of the Display Hardware organization.
Requirements
- PhD studying computer graphics, optics, computer vision, or a related field.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Proficiency in Python development and best coding practices.
- Strong engineering background in computer vision, computer graphics, or a similar field, including knowledge of the human visual system.
- Proficiency in C++, Swift, or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with SDK programming for hardware interfaces.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: PhD or MS with 3+ years of industry experience in deep learning or related fields.
- Preferred: strong mathematics skills in linear algebra, computational science, and optimization.
- Preferred: experience with OptiTrack or similar motion-capture systems, head-mounted eye tracking, Swift application development in Xcode, novel hardware prototyping, and human-perception experiments.
