Responsibilities

  • Define static and dynamic software architectures, including modularization, layering, interfaces, scheduling, concurrency, and inter-core communication.
  • Define and monitor system resource budgets such as CPU load and stack usage.
  • Establish and enforce coding guidelines, workflows, and code quality standards.
  • Develop functional safety strategies, error-handling concepts, safe-state management, and cybersecurity strategies.
  • Implement and maintain critical embedded software components.
  • Ensure traceability from requirements to architecture and code.
  • Lead architectural code reviews and guide the engineering team through implementation.

Requirements

  • University degree in engineering, software, robotics, electronics, mechanical engineering, mathematics, or applied physics.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on software engineering experience and at least 2 years as an architect or lead engineer.
  • Expertise designing complex embedded software architectures using modern design patterns and UML modeling.
  • Experience establishing processes, coding standards, and review workflows in a regulated environment.
  • Strong C++ and C skills with deep knowledge of microcontrollers and platforms such as AURIX Tricore, TI Hercules, and NXP S32.
  • Ability to translate physical system requirements into computational models and software solutions across the software stack.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical regulated development processes and modern software development practices.
  • Clear communication skills with both management and developers, plus strong English communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Python, Rust, and Groovy experience are preferred.
