Responsibilities
- Own the technical workstream for enterprise opportunities from discovery through contract signature.
- Develop solution narratives covering architecture, integration approach, platform fit, and commercial rationale.
- Identify technical risks, gaps, and objections and serve as a senior escalation point for advanced solutioning.
- Partner with Sales on qualification, deal strategy, technical positioning, competitive differentiation, stakeholder mapping, and executive client discussions.
- Lead technical discovery and design scalable, secure solutions across the commerce platform.
- Guide clients through integration strategies across POS, eCommerce, mobile, and partner ecosystems in European markets.
- Support post-signature strategic accounts, portfolio expansion, and Acquire and Expand motions.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to validate approaches and provide field feedback.
- Create reusable reference architectures, integration patterns, technical playbooks, architecture diagrams, integration guides, and solution narratives.
- Mentor Sales Engineers on advanced solutioning and enterprise deal strategy.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a comparable client-facing technical role.
- Deep payments or fintech expertise, including European PSD2, SCA, SEPA, local card schemes, multi-acquirer setups, cross-border flows, and DCC flows.
- Strong command of APIs, enterprise integration architecture, and payment flows across POS, eCommerce, and mobile.
- Proven experience influencing large, complex enterprise deals through technical positioning.
- Ability to partner effectively with Sales and align technical strategy to business outcomes.
- Executive presence and ability to communicate with both technical architects and C-level stakeholders.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering.
- Based in Europe and able to travel across EU markets for client meetings, workshops, and go-lives.
- Preferred experience with payment certifications, gateway integrations, processor workflows, net-new enterprise pursuits, client expansion, and large-scale multi-system implementations.
- Fluency in Spanish or French in addition to English is preferred.
