Responsibilities
- Advocate for customer experience and product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Design comprehensive test strategies and write test cases for complex product features and platform services.
- Identify risks early, perform root cause analysis, and communicate defect impact.
- Validate APIs, integrations, distributed services, data pipelines, system workflows, and multi-step product flows.
- Validate data integrity and test permissions, access control, document sharing, performance, reliability, and edge cases.
- Collaborate with developers and automation engineers on smoke, regression, and release-validation automation.
- Define quality standards, track quality metrics, and help reduce production defects.
- Mentor junior quality engineers and contribute technical leadership in design discussions and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in software quality engineering.
- Experience testing complex SaaS applications or distributed systems.
- Strong experience with API testing and strong SQL skills for validating data and system state.
- Experience testing integrations, workflows, or data pipelines.
- Experience in cloud environments such as AWS, with Linux and command-line tools for debugging and log analysis.
- Familiarity with Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages.
- Experience with test management tools such as TestRail or Qase.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience includes testing AI or machine learning systems, payment platforms, financial integrations, CRM or workflow-driven SaaS applications, microservices architectures, sensitive or regulated data, and observability tools.
- Familiarity with containerization or Kubernetes is preferred.
