Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the customer experience throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Design comprehensive test strategies for complex product features and platform services.
  • Identify risks early and raise quality concerns before issues reach production.
  • Write and maintain high-quality test cases covering real-world usage scenarios.
  • Perform root cause analysis and clearly communicate the impact of defects.
  • Validate APIs, integrations, and distributed services.
  • Test data pipelines, system workflows, and multi-step product flows.
  • Ensure correctness of integrations with third-party systems and internal services.
  • Validate data integrity across relational systems and application workflows.
  • Test security-sensitive functionality such as permissions and access control.
  • Evaluate system performance, reliability, and edge-case behavior.
  • Help define and improve quality engineering standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with developers and automation engineers to identify high-value automation opportunities.
  • Contribute to test automation strategies across smoke, regression, and release validation.
  • Track and report on quality metrics and help reduce production defects.
  • Mentor and support junior quality engineers.
  • Participate in design discussions to improve testability and reliability.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in quality practices for complex SaaS systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the engineering organization.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in software quality engineering.
  • Experience testing complex SaaS applications or distributed systems.
  • Strong experience with API testing (REST, webhooks, or similar).
  • Strong SQL skills for validating data and system state.
  • Experience testing integrations, workflows, or data pipelines.
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS or similar).
  • Proficiency with Linux and command-line tools for debugging and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Qase, or similar).
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
