Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain mobile test suites using Appium and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Test iOS, Android, and in-car applications across device types, operating system versions, screen resolutions, and hardware constraints.
  • Perform manual exploratory testing and automated regression testing to identify and report mobile-specific defects.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers and Product Managers on mobile test plans and quality strategies.
  • Investigate backend-service bugs and assess their impact on products and releases.
  • Troubleshoot issues in production and staging environments.
  • Perform post-release and post-implementation regression, performance, and integration testing for backend systems.

Requirements

  • Experience building robust mobile automation frameworks from scratch with Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or similar open-source tools.
  • Experience integrating mobile automated tests into build pipelines, including device-cloud and emulator/simulator orchestration.
  • Strong Java programming skills and expertise with JUnit or TestNG.
  • Experience with build and configuration tools such as GitHub Actions and CircleCI.
  • Understanding of mobile UI/UX behavior across screen sizes, operating system versions, and hardware constraints.
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills, attention to detail, and a mobile-first quality mindset.
  • Experience with RevenueCat or similar in-app subscription services is preferred.
  • Backend-services experience is preferred.
  • Experience with behavior-driven development and Cucumber is preferred.
  • Experience with native frameworks such as XCUITest, Espresso, or UIAutomator is preferred.
  • Ability to understand business context and the value created by testing is preferred.
