Base Salary
$61k - $104k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, test, document, and support complex mainframe applications and subsystems.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable application solutions on z/OS.
- Perform mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning to reduce I/O, CPU time, MSUs, and MIPs.
- Lead architecture, development, testing, technical analysis, and resolution of roadblocks across multiple projects.
- Provide on-site, on-call, and crisis-management support as a subject matter expert.
- Lead stakeholder collaboration sessions, provide team guidance, and coordinate with management and business units.
- Review test plans, ensure QA readiness, conduct system testing, and recommend development and testing tools.
- Plan project life cycles, schedules, assignments, risks, and technical estimates while supporting on-time and on-budget delivery.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise defining, developing, and leading teams implementing scalable application solutions.
- Demonstrated mainframe application development, automation, and support experience using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience with mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning using Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum Detector.
- Experience with File-AID, Endeavor, Intertest, Abend-AID, and Control-M for file comparison, version management, debugging, testing, and scheduling.
- Ability to perform complex technical and functional analysis, develop creative solutions, and manage multiple initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, management, cross-functional teams, and business units.
