Base Salary
$61k - $104k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop complex stock plan services applications, components, and subsystems on a z/OS mainframe.
- Gather requirements and perform application development, end-to-end testing, system testing, and technical and functional analysis.
- Define application-level architecture with attention to scalability, extensibility, and established standards.
- Perform mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning to reduce I/O, CPU time, MSUs, and MIPs.
- Provide on-site and on-call support and participate as a subject matter expert in crisis management.
- Lead collaborative sessions, guide team members, collaborate with management and stakeholders, and resolve technical roadblocks.
- Ensure QA readiness, review and validate test plans, and recommend development and testing tools.
- Develop documentation, project life-cycle plans, schedules, assignments, estimates, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate multiple projects and help ensure project goals are delivered on time and within budget.
- Act as a primary liaison for business units and recommend solutions and improvements for technology initiatives.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise defining, developing, and leading interactive teams implementing scalable application solutions.
- Demonstrated expertise in mainframe application development, automation, and support using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, and SQL.
- Demonstrated expertise in mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning using Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum Detector.
- Experience with File-AID, Endeavor, Intertest, Abend-AID, and Control-M for file comparison, version management, debugging, testing, and scheduling.
- Ability to perform complex technical and functional analysis and develop original technical solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and provide guidance and feedback to team members.
