Base Salary
$150k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assess business and customer requirements, identify gaps and risks, and contribute to user stories and solution designs.
- Convert high-level designs into detailed module designs using mock screens, pseudocode, and functional logic.
- Develop and configure application components that meet functional, non-functional, availability, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
- Build automation scripts, implement telemetry, apply security policies, and select appropriate programming languages and development tools.
- Create and execute test cases, perform regression testing, analyze defects, and troubleshoot application performance and availability bottlenecks.
- Develop backend services for document processing, reconciliation, data transformation, real-time communication, and frontend integration.
- Monitor application metrics and logs, perform maintenance and re-engineering, optimize distributed production systems, and evaluate change requests.
- Ensure project work adheres to approved milestones and timelines.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in a related field and one year of software engineering or related experience, or bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and three years of software engineering or related experience.
- Experience converting IBM DB2 batch processing with DSUTILB and DSNTIAUL into PostgreSQL queries using Java and JDBC.
- Experience handling concurrency in update and insert queries using Java and JDBC and coding with Java, JDBC, and design patterns.
- Experience designing server-client backend architecture using Redis and Docker for parallel document processing and near-real-time execution.
- Experience implementing Python reconciliation services and entity-relationship models for validating financial transactions from semi-structured documents.
- Experience designing schemas with MongoDB and PostgreSQL for converting image and PDF data from unstructured to structured formats.
- Experience developing real-time communication mechanisms with WebSockets and Node.js and integrating backend services with frontend components.
- Experience optimizing memory and temporary file storage with Elastic File Servers and AWS services.
- Experience debugging, optimizing performance, and improving reliability across distributed production components.
