Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of high-impact client projects.
- Design scalable Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+ architectures using microservices, Domain-Driven Design, and Clean Architecture.
- Define consistent REST APIs with OpenAPI, versioning, and OAuth2 security.
- Balance performance, maintainability, and time-to-market in technical decisions.
- Establish engineering standards covering TDD, integration testing, code reviews, Sonar, and CI/CD.
- Industrialize deployments with Docker and Kubernetes and implement observability and monitoring.
- Mentor developers, reduce technical debt, and act as the technical reference for clients.
- Contribute to the growth of Atecna’s internal Java community and expertise.
Requirements
- 8 to 12+ years of experience in Java development.
- Previous experience as a Tech Lead or technical reference.
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, and jOOQ.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, performance, and scalability.
- Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Ability to make, explain, and take ownership of technical decisions.
- Preferred qualifications include public speaking, community visibility, modern architecture experience, applied data or AI experience, Java or equivalent technical certifications, and legacy modernization experience.
