Base Salary
$145k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production backend services at scale.
- Develop features for internal and external customers.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Develop integrations between Fieldwire and external services and partners.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Release a rapidly growing API while maintaining backward compatibility.
- Build efficient auto-scaling services for peak and non-peak loads.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a backend role.
- Experience with modern web application development and relational databases.
- Ability to write clean, well-tested, and modular code.
- Understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Preferred experience with Ruby on Rails or Rust, high-traffic web applications and services, Docker and containerization, and AWS.
