Responsibilities

  • Design, build, secure, and scale the SaaS platform on Azure using AKS, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and related services.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and release engineering workflows using Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
  • Drive SRE practices including observability, incident response, availability, performance monitoring, and operational excellence.
  • Support FedRAMP compliance readiness through secure configuration management, audit logging, documentation, and operational procedures.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 operational support, participate in maintenance windows and on-call rotations, and maintain production monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
  • Support capacity planning, cost optimization, scaling, security planning, availability planning, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Document operational processes, architectural decisions, and runbooks in Jira or Confluence.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required to support FedRAMP-compliant environments.
  • At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Azure Cloud and native services, especially AKS, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Monitor, and Key Vault.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for microservices architectures and serverless environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts, and cloud-native workloads.
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code, especially Terraform, with experience using Ansible or Pulumi preferred.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Deep experience with monitoring, observability, incident response, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Datadog, or ELK.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or other security and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or Workflows and GitLab CI is preferred.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or Redis is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant Azure certifications, regulated compliance initiative experience, and security practices such as encryption, secret management, and network hardening are preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, organizational, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
