Responsibilities
- Investigate and troubleshoot deployment issues across various environments, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end test frameworks.
- Create and maintain test plans and test cases for microservices, including relevant scenarios and edge cases.
- Collaborate with engineering groups on integration testing and improve testing environments.
- Investigate safe deployment and rollback requirements and verify them during deployment.
- Write and maintain scripts that automate platform service deployments.
Requirements
- Five years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Python and Pytest, modern testing methodologies, Perl, and Go.
- Experience debugging failures across x86 and ARM environments, including determining whether failures are architecture-specific.
- Knowledge of Debian packaging and QEMU TCG and KVM acceleration.
- Strong Linux fundamentals, performance tuning experience, and Bash scripting skills.
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SaltStack.
- Understanding of software development life cycle processes and service-level objective monitoring and alerting.
