Base Salary
$180k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Android and iOS applications.
- Automate builds across multiple variants, flavors, and configurations.
- Configure build caching and optimization to reduce build times.
- Implement code-quality checks, static analysis, and security scanning.
- Configure emulators and device farms for automated testing.
- Set up unit, integration, and UI testing frameworks.
- Develop infrastructure tooling and applications that improve the software development lifecycle.
- Integrate monitoring and alerting for CI/CD tooling health.
- Collaborate with application developers and teams responsible for Kubernetes, HashiCorp, and private-cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering.
- Foundational knowledge of Android with Gradle and Kotlin or iOS with Xcode and Swift.
- Ability to automate tasks using Python, Bash, or Kotlin Script.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills, including investigating build logs and root causes.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Linux troubleshooting, including inodes, process management, and resource allocation, is preferred.
- Familiarity with Terraform or Puppet is preferred.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise is preferred.
- Experience configuring device farms or emulators and integrating monitoring and alerting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform, Develocity, Screenshot testing, Detekt, and Xcode CLI or xcodebuild is preferred.
Benefits
- Annual base salary range of $180,000-$243,000, plus equity, 401(k), health, dental, vision, and additional benefits.
- Chicago office-based role with an office-first expectation of at least three in-office days per week on average.
- Employer can support visa transfers but does not sponsor individuals for H-1B CAP applications.
