Base Salary
$125k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain flight code-generation tooling for flight software and GNC engineers
- Maintain core flight software features shared across satellite products
- Identify and resolve slow or error-prone aspects of embedded software development
- Create tools and processes that enable fast, accurate, and easy-to-use development and operational systems
- Work with ground software teams to simplify constellation operations
- Own the full software lifecycle from conception through testing and maintenance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline, or at least two years of software development experience
- Development experience in C/C++, Python, or similar programming languages
- Knowledge of Bazel, C++, Python, and Bash is preferred
- Experience improving performance bottlenecks in build systems and embedded environments is preferred
- Experience designing user interfaces for software engineers is preferred
- Experience with fault-tolerant, distributed, or real-time embedded systems is preferred
- Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery systems is preferred
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and effectively across teams
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR authorization requirements
