Base Salary

$224k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build a fleet health system with real-time telemetry, tiered health checks, alarm correlation, incident generation, and a unified machine-health API across Kubernetes and bare metal.
  • Automate repair and RMA workflows from failure detection through triage, parts, vendor return, and return to service, including generated shift task lists and return-to-service reporting.
  • Develop software workflows for hardware burn-in, performance baselining, qualification, and validation of accelerator racks and new hardware.
  • Own the facility maintenance system, asset model, migration from legacy data center inventory, and rollout of lockout/tagout and work-order capabilities.
  • Convert SOPs, training records, technician qualifications, and operational runbooks into structured, auditable procedures and dashboards.
  • Work forward-deployed alongside production engineers and facility operators, including on site and on the operational rotation.

Requirements

  • Production code shipped in Go, Python, or TypeScript, with the ability to learn and use other languages as needed.
  • Experience building real features with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, open-weight models, MCP servers, and agentic frameworks.
  • Daily experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.
  • Ability to independently identify problems, design solutions, and ship production systems under deadlines.
  • Experience with on-call operations or close collaboration with on-call teams, including reducing operational and pager burden.
  • Strong product judgment for building intuitive interfaces and workflows that match operational practices.
  • Preferred experience includes production engineering or SRE for large GPU fleets, hardware qualification or burn-in frameworks, BMC, Redfish, IPMI tooling, CMMS, DCIM, asset management systems, BMS/EPMS, SCADA, Prometheus, or Grafana.
