$133k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, and support microservices for financial portfolio construction, data integrations, and real-time operational workflows.
- Operate and improve a technology platform involving orchestration, data modeling, data pipelines, APIs, storage, distribution, distributed computation, analytics, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with teams and business stakeholders to deliver complete, timely, and validated platform capabilities.
- Troubleshoot live-environment problems and provide real-time assistance during critical issues.
- Write understandable, maintainable code and stay current with relevant technology developments.
- Support diverse business departments in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5+ years of experience as an engineer working with large-scale systems, preferably in investment management or trading.
- Strong knowledge of programming fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and programming paradigms.
- Strong knowledge of one or more modern object-oriented languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with web development and front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase.
- Knowledge of API design approaches including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and gRPC.
- Ability to troubleshoot live systems, assist with critical issues in real time, and write maintainable code.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud-environment experience, CRM integrations, messaging technologies, structured or NoSQL storage, and statistical or financial analysis.
