$218k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the front-end technical roadmap and architecture for Coinbase Advanced across web and mobile.
- Drive performance improvements in rendering, network efficiency, and state management for low-latency trading interfaces.
- Lead complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives and establish standards for code quality, system design, and engineering rigor.
- Mentor senior engineers and improve technical decision-making, engineering standards, and delivery velocity.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to turn business priorities into technical plans and ship high-impact features.
- Establish scalable front-end practices, patterns, and conventions for a growing team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in modern front-end frameworks such as React, React Native, or equivalent, along with mobile development environments.
- Proven experience optimizing complex UI systems for rendering performance, network efficiency, and state management at scale.
- Experience leading technical strategy, architecture decisions, trade-off analysis, and cross-team alignment for multi-quarter initiatives.
- Demonstrated success mentoring senior engineers and improving engineering standards and delivery velocity.
- Familiarity with high-availability, low-latency systems; trading platforms, financial systems, or real-time data applications are preferred.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
