Base Salary
$90k - $136k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop Android application features using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM.
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, and mobile engineering partners to deliver product features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code and participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
- Identify and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and application crashes.
- Improve application architecture, reliability, and maintainability.
- Create and maintain unit tests and automated tests supporting application quality.
- Contribute as the Android developer within a cross-functional team while using mentorship, pairing, and broader mobile engineering support.
Requirements
- Experience developing Android applications using modern Android development practices.
- Proficiency in Kotlin or experience with Java.
- Understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM or a similar approach.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and networking, concurrency and asynchronous programming, including coroutines and flows.
- Familiarity with the Android application lifecycle, performance considerations, and Git-based version control workflows.
- Android experience from professional work, internships, academic work, or personal projects.
- A bachelor’s degree and one to three years of relevant Android development experience are nice-to-have qualifications.
- Nice-to-have experience includes Jetpack Compose, Android testing, Bluetooth or device integrations, backend-connected mobile applications, and CI/CD pipelines.
