Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy scalable software engineering and DevOps solutions for data-driven projects.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and business subject-matter experts.
- Design and develop technical platforms, frameworks, and applications for data, business intelligence, and information systems.
- Apply software development standards, CI/CD practices, system design, security, testing, and exception-handling standards.
- Build relationships that support technology transfer and collaboration across internal and external networks.
- Promote digital transformation and assist with training and development for technical peers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 0+ years of professional hands-on software development experience with a BS, MS, or PhD.
- Strong Python and/or Java programming and scripting skills.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, infrastructure as code, Terraform, and/or CI/CD frameworks.
- Specialty skills in large-scale, cluster, and/or cloud computing, preferably Azure.
- Experience with Linux, Unix, Git, GitHub Actions, and software development testing frameworks.
- Strong quantitative, technical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Master’s or PhD preferred; candidates with a BS degree and 2+ years of experience are preferred.
- Experience with C#, C++, Julia, Scala, VS Code, or data science domains such as predictive maintenance, forecasting, real-time streaming analytics, image analysis, or optimization is preferred.
