Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, and document Appian process workflows based on business requirements.
- Enhance existing business platforms and build new product offerings using current technologies.
- Ensure functional specifications can be implemented technically and deliver robust, performant, and reliable solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external user groups as needed.
- Contribute to Fidelity’s Appian practice by sharing methods and best practices.
- Work effectively in an Agile environment while supporting technical decisions and solving complex problems.
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- 3–7 years of experience building enterprise workflows using the Appian Platform.
- Working experience in web development with an emphasis on service-oriented architecture.
- Knowledge of Appian product and application methodology, including SAIL, Process Modeler, Rules, Expressions, Documents, Knowledge Center, data management, Records, Sites, Actions, Integrations, Data Stores, and Groups.
- Experience with SQL and database platforms such as Oracle and MariaDB.
- Hands-on experience with an Agile methodology and the Atlassian stack, including JIRA and Confluence.
- Strong technical insight, analytical and conceptual problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, communication skills, multitasking ability, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include DocuSign or document management platform experience, wealth management, brokerage, or financial services experience, completion of the Canadian Securities Course, and Appian certification.
