Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive end-to-end quality processes that embed test automation within software engineering teams.
- Build, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks for native iOS and native Android applications, with support for web and API testing.
- Champion test-pyramid health, mobile testing strategies, AI-driven testing, release management, SDLC practices, and Definition of Done standards.
- Own quality outcomes and metrics including test coverage, automation levels, change failure rate, and pipeline stability.
- Mentor and collaborate with engineering and project leads to develop test strategies, scope, and mobile testing frameworks.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines for reliability, coverage, and developer productivity.
- Explore and implement AI/ML-driven testing tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency and defect detection.
- Create and maintain test data and manage vendor relationships for testing tools and services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional SDET experience focused on writing code for test automation.
- Proven experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for native iOS and native Android applications; web and API experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven testing tools and techniques.
- Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines, test automation tools and frameworks, feature-toggle management tools, and test environments.
- Experience working on software engineering teams that own and implement their own quality practices without separate QA teams.
- Strong software engineering background or equivalent exposure, including the ability to read, write, and debug unit, integration, and end-to-end test code.
- Expertise maintaining and optimizing automated functional test suites.
- Experience creating and maintaining test data and managing vendor relationships for testing tools and services.
- Strategic thinking, strong communication, technical leadership, collaboration, mentoring, and a test-first development mindset.
