Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain software development environments across on-premises, cloud, and air-gapped environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments such as the Big Bang framework.
- Design and maintain secure infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Implement observability solutions for proactive monitoring and integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize workflows and deliver high-quality, reproducible software that meets compliance requirements.
- Design, code, test, and debug complex software development environments.
- Identify software development bottlenecks and create solutions to improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Typically 2+ years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of at least one programming language and general knowledge of others.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, security practices, and software delivery workflows.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required because the position needs an active clearance.
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum/Kanban.
- Preferred experience as a DevOps or DevSecOps Engineer.
- Preferred proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, Docker, Kubernetes, Windows and Linux software development, cloud platforms, logging and monitoring tools, GitLab, Artifactory, and C/C++ build tools.
- Preferred certifications include Security+ or IAT2, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, and Google Professional DevOps Engineer.
