Responsibilities
- Contribute to a signal separation project focused on Automotive Ethernet Full Duplex standards.
- Analyze real-time oscilloscope waveform data using high-bandwidth voltage probes, current probes, and test fixtures.
- Understand automotive communication standards and validate performance using an oscilloscope protocol decoder.
- Design controlled experiments, document positive and negative results, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Develop a prototype in Python and MATLAB and support its later porting to C#.
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering major; senior undergraduate, Master's, or PhD students are preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital communications, including PAM signaling, scramblers, equalization, timing recovery, and eye-diagram analysis.
- Knowledge of linear algebra, least-squares methods, Ridge/Tikhonov regularization, and condition numbers.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and at least one compiled language: C# or C++.
- Completed coursework or demonstrated proficiency in Signals and Systems and Digital Signal Processing.
- Foundational knowledge of FFTs, filtering, and time- and frequency-domain analysis.
- Prior project experience involving signal processing, measurement, or laboratory-based research.
- Exposure to Automotive Ethernet, 1000BASE-T, PCIe, the Keysight Infiniium framework, oscilloscope automation, Wireshark, Scapy, or IEEE standards is advantageous.
- Willingness to work at the Keysight site in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
